In partnership with the Otselic Valley Fishing & Heritage Association and C.S. Miller Books, “Journey Through Chenango: Land of the Oneidas” is the first of a two-part book talk where community members will receive and discuss two books related to Oneida culture.

From 4-6 PM, participants will have the opportunity to sign-up for a guided tour of the museum’s “Native America” exhibit, explore other exhibits in the museum, view collections of artifacts from local amateur collectors, participate in a program from the Oneida Nation’s Shako:wi Cultural Center, and get dinner from the Kandi’s Kitchen food truck.

The highlight of the evening will be a talk starting at 6 PM from Daniel Koch, author of “Land of the Oneidas: Central New York State and the Creation of America, from Prehistory to the Present.” Up to forty members of the community will receive free copies of Koch’s book along with “Drums Along the Mohawk” by Walter D. Edmonds, the other book that is part of the discussion.

To participate you are REQUIRED to register for this FREE two-part program. Follow this link to sign-up and learn more:
