Description

We drive through Woods Corners every day. It is a small place; crossroads, really. It may be only a few acres of land, but that landscape has witnessed the whole history of Chenango County over the past 200 years Pioneers, a famous tavern, heartache and failure, the golden age of the dairy industry and agriculture, industrial success, devastating floods, train wrecks, beautiful homes, even murder, but most of all it has been what was called in the nineteenth century, a “homeplace” as well as a twentieth century workplace for thousands of Chenango County people. Nelson Tiffany loved it as his homeplace, and wanted to share it.

ReadĀ History of Woods CornersĀ and learn why it is a very important little crossroads.
